Tireless advocate recognised

Aucklander David Hughes has been recognised as someone who ‘has tirelessly advocated for people with disabilities for many years,’ according to an article in the Eastern Courier.

Simon Smith reported that ‘[at] this year’s inaugural Big Event Health and Disability Expo his peers chose him for the single award of “making a significant contribution to the disability community”.

‘Howick’s Sue Robertson of support and advocacy organisation Imagine Better nominated him for the award.’
