Auckland Transport are currently working with community groups, business association and the Waitemata Local Board to develop a transport corridor plan for Broadway and Khyber Pass Road.
There are some major issues in Newmarket. Six large development sites yet to be built, a plan change to encourage more intensification, more traffic moving through Newmarket than stopping in Newmarket with the merger of Remuera Road, Manukau Road, Great South Road, more people in busses through Newmarket than in cars, the second busiest train station in Auckland, a high concentration of school children and a bustling business centre.
